KITCHEN crew (KC)
(Must be 16 to 17 years of age, and completed sophomore year of high school)
Set an example of a righteous Latter-day Saint in dress, speech, action, spirituality and fun at all times.
Be worthy to hold a current temple recommend.
Obtain a Utah Food Handlers Permit at own expense by pre-camp.
Attending workshops, study assigned materials, get to know the staff, and participate in camp activities.
Participate in camp opening; fulfill assignments to get the kitchen and supplies ready for campers.
Report to and follow instructions of Head and Assistant Cooks.
Attend and be on time for weekly Staff Meeting on Sunday evenings.
Follow all food preparation rules and regulations as instructed.
Assist in daily meal preparation and meal cleanup as assigned.
Clean the kitchen, equipment and food storage areas as directed by cooks.
Be responsible for my share of the work assignments and complete them every day.
Help prepare food for special occasions such as the Brighton Banquet and Christmas Week as directed.
Plan and prepare to participate in other camp activities (Brownie Hike, Tuesday night Flower Program)
Submit mid-season personal evaluations.
Participate and direct a thorough inventory and “end of season kitchen cleaning.”
In addition to housing and meals during the camp week, earn
$3200
paid throughout the camp season.
